Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)
Helping children grow in love with Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based approach that invites children to tangibly learn about the mysteries of the Catholic faith. In an intentionally designed space called an atrium, children experience the work of the Holy Spirit through Scripture, liturgy, and prayer. Our trained catechists guide children using simple, beautiful materials that encourage quiet prayer and deep contemplation. Our goal is to help every child encounter Jesus personally and flourish in His love.
Our Atria Levels
Our pastorate currently offers two levels of formation based on a child’s development stage:
Level I is for children ages 3-6 (focusing on the young child’s enjoyment of God)
Level II is for children ages 6-9 (exploring salvation history and the Kingdom of God)
Current Locations and Sessions
Saint Dominic currently holds two atria with certified Level I and Level II catechists.
